Celebrating the night of the falling stars in Italy near Siena, my colleague and friend,

Lorenzo Fiore is in that area for several events, but I want to start with one.

There was a celebration in these last hours of the night of the falling stars, St. Lorenzo night.

Of course, it is important to celebrate your namesake, Lorenzo Fiore.

So what happens on the night of the falling stars? Good evening to you.

Good evening, John and good evening to all the radio listeners. Well, yesterday is also my night because my name is Lorenzo.

So it is yesterday was the day of St. Lorenzo.

And this is a typical, let's say, special day for all the Italians for tourism, not only for St. Lorenzo, but also because it is the day devoted to watch the sky at night, especially when there is no moon rising.

So it is really dark to see the falling star. So everybody can watch the first, the first falling star and start thinking about his own or her own desire.

And of course, this is sort of wish that the desire will materialize and become a matter of fact.

It was a fantastic night because we spent typically in the conviviality of dinner that is typically attended by all the cities and of the villages.

And yesterday we had a very nice party in the garden of Serredira Polano with more than 200 people attending and having their dinner all together, fantastic.

But unfortunately, I didn't see any falling star yesterday night.

I would see for it is a time to remember something that happened 850 years ago, the building of the tower of pizza, sometimes called the leaning tower of pizza, which is a vivid memory as a child.

And I was finally able to climb the tower in 1985 when I understand now it was leaning much more than that it is now since then there's been some correction.

What is what is the leaning tower of pizza to Italian children? Do they all celebrate it? Is it famous to them as the way it is to American children?

Absolutely. Yes, John. And the tower of pizza is also one of the typical Italian song that every child typically starts thinking when they learn how to sing.

Let me say, and it's released something very unique and fantastic. Everybody should have a chance to see and climb the pizza tower once in their life.

And of course, it's a lining tower that let me say is located in a square that is called square of miracles and it is really a miracle that the tower is still there after so many time when it was built.

Fantastic for everybody. And there was celebration three days ago, if I remember, starting with the bell ringing at noon.

My thrill for climbing it was to remember how many tens and hundreds of thousands of pilgrims have climbed the same tower in the 850 years.
