Hello, it's Eve here and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Thursday.

So today, I wanted to talk a little bit about how the small things in life can end up being the big things to you.

Now, this applies to things that make us happy, things we enjoy, things that nourish us.

But it can also apply to the things that perhaps causes to feel angry, stressed out or upset.

And sometimes all it takes is one small thing to tip us over the limit. And it can catch us and others by surprise.

So I had one of these moments this week and it involved a trip to the DMV office.

Now, if you're not in the States, this stands for the Department of Motor Vehicles.

So I had to go into the DMV to get my license renewed. Picture the scene, packed office, long lines, it's hot.

And most of the waiting in line happened outside in the sun because of COVID.

After three and a half hours, it was finally my turn.

And I was seen by a lovely lady and I have to give a quick shout out here to DMV employees.

They are actual heroes, they deal with hundreds of folks every day and probably don't get treated with kindness all of the time.

Anyway, I got my paperwork out and it was all sorted and then I go to pay.

My debit card didn't work. And of course, they only accept cash, check or debit cards.
