Hi, it's Andy here, and welcome to Radio Headspace, and a Friday, the end of the week.

Over the last few months, I've heard lots of different stories from different people

about how they've been approaching their time, not just during lockdown, but more broadly

sort of being away from the office and everything else.

There are some people who say they've really lost their sense of routine, they've lost

a lot of their healthy habits, they've found themselves indulging a lot more.

And equally, there's been another group of people who said they've used their time as

a reminder and a reason to get really strict with themselves around certain aspects of

life.

It's kind of black or white, it's kind of all on nothing, and someone who is a little

bit all on nothing, I get it.

And yet I think there's something really valuable to be said in approaching things in life,

with a little more flexibility and with a slightly longer view.

So if you think about this time during the pandemic, for those people who've tried to

be a lot sort of stricter with themselves, it's not unlike when we try to give something

It's very rare, midway through or Wednesday afternoon, we will think, okay, I'm going

to start kind of now, we need to wait until next Monday.

At the start of the year, for example, or the end of the year, we might think, okay,

well, I'll just wait another month or so until the start of the year, and then I will begin

that new healthy habit.

And even in carrying those things out, we might be, okay, we'll do it for a week, and
