Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Friday edition of the yard.

It is actually late Thursday night as I record this. And I contemplated recording in the morning, but there's a lot of things going on that we need to talk about.

I believe that a dialogue is healthy for all of us,

and I am going to confess some things today, some feelings that I had, some thoughts that I had

initially when I learned about the Mississippi State practice boycott, and then I'm going to

share with you some things that I have learned since

those initial thoughts and my thoughts now. It's going to run the gambit and I'm sure many of you

feel much like I did when I first heard the news that we were not going to practice football on

Thursday.

And then since that time, again, I have had a chance to talk to some people intimately

involved in the decision on Thursday.

And I want to share that with you.

I'm not going to quote anybody else told some things in confidence.

I want to make sure that you're aware of them.

Because we are a family. And in times like these, especially when there are disagreements within the family, I think it's best for us to know the facts.

It is easy to make an elevated emotional decision initially. I am probably, you know, people, you guys give me more credit for being level-headed than I deserve.

It's just a lot of times I wait to speak or write or broadcast after I have had the opportunity to kind of digest more of the facts.

And so what appears to be level-headed at times is really just a little more educated on certain factors. And so I'm going to
