I'm John Bachelor with Jonathan Shenzer, the Foundation for the Defense of

Democracy. He's here to help me understand what is now a two-front war and could soon be a three-front

war given the West Bank's vulnerabilities to the radicals.

However, the headlines, this is from London reporting, not Jerusalem Post,

rocket attacks as Israel and Hezbollah exchange fire over border.

I'll stop there because the reporting over these last weeks is somewhere between 80 and 100,000

Israelis have been evacuated from the northern border.

And those evacuees want to go home.

Hezbollah knows this.

It has specialists, a special unit that is provoking as much as possible

killed in a visiting farmer the other day to provoke Israel.

To what end they're provoking because the larger story is Hezbollah is not a single standalone terror organization. It's like Hamas. It's a

finger of Iran. Iran is controlling the hand of Hezbollah of Huthis Hamas.

So taking on Hezbollah, you're also taking on very good missiles,

Iranian missiles and Iranian support through Syria.

Jonathan, you say that there's a sense that we need to get the job done completely.

Hezbollah has held back these many months of the fighting in Gaza. Do we have clarity as to why Nasrala the

general secretary, the boss of Hezbollah, why he's held back or has he been ordered to

hold back by Tehran? Well it's an interesting question, John.

I think there's a few questions that we need to ask ourselves in order to understand this.

The first is why did Hezbollah not join on October 7th or October 8th in a full invasion of Israel along the lines of what we saw from Hamas.
