Crowds have been gathering in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square today as Hamas handed over the bodies of four Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

This is probably the saddest day since October 7.

On the other hand, I'm happy that the families has a relief that their loved ones are back.

It's the sense of helplessness, the fact that this country could not bring back these people alive.

Three of the remains are said to be of Sheri Bibas, who was 32, and her son's Arian Kaffir, who were just

four years old and nine months old, respectively, when taken captive.

And the family of Oded Lifshitz, who was 83 when taken hostage, have confirmed that his

body has now been officially identified, saying that they had, quote, hoped and prayed

so much for a different outcome.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is replacing the country's chief negotiator

with a close political ally, according to a source.

They'll handle the second phase of the current ceasefire in Gaza meant to see the withdrawal

of all Israeli troops from Gaza and the release

of all living hostages.
