Summary

Three weeks into Israel's war against Hamas, Yonit and Jonathan talk to Shimrit Meir, a former adviser to Naftali Bennett, about the next steps in the conflict - and the international players making crucial moves behind the scenes, starting with Hamas's patron, Qatar. They ask her how Benjamin Netanyahu will respond to mounting global pressure to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza - and rising domestic pressure to free the hostages held by Hamas. Plus: with antisemitism surging across the world, is anywhere truly safe for Jewish life? Follow us on Instagram and Facebook: Unholy Podcast.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

1:22.4

to kind of bridge that gap is doing what Jews do pretty well, which is talking. And you kind of think about the fact

1:29.0

that now the bond really seems much closer than ever, that there's not really a gap. The

1:36.0

circumstances are, of course, horrendous for this, but that the conversation somehow, I don't

1:42.4

know, am I wrong about this? The conversation somehow became closer, not only because of the terrible massacre that we went through in Israel.

1:50.0

And everyone in the Jewish world has a friend and knows someone who was in those circles of the victims,

1:55.3

but also because of really this terrible feeling of Jews around the world that they aren't safe, all being part

2:03.9

and parcel of the whole, the same story. I think this, again, I wouldn't wish for these
