What do those around the world think of American women?

We have a very specific stereotype that I think every woman who is either traveling alone or traveling without a man needs to be aware of.

Now it's no secret that before I left from a big trip to Dublin in London, I was a little

paranoid.

I bought so many female safety things before I left

because I felt a little vulnerable. I bought a door bolt. I bought drug testing strips

so that when I went out to bars alone I could make sure that there was

nothing suspicious in my Guinness. Did you take them and use them? I took them but

weirdly enough I really and maybe this is naive I really did feel so safe while I was there that I didn't do I

didn't use them I was gonna say do you use those here in the states um no one

honestly I've been drugged more times than the states that I happen in Europe

so honestly it's a good thing I bought them because now when I'm out of the buckhead bars, I can use those

instead.

So shout it to me for pre-planning.

It is something a little different though when you're traveling and the potential of getting

drugged in a country where you don't know anybody and don't know the medical

facilities so I can understand why you'd be a little bit more strategic about it outside the United

Yeah, no, I mean for sure just because you're so far from anybody who could be of actual help.

I think the first couple hours I was in London, I kind of felt that.

I was like, oh God, like, I just booked a plane trip one day and now I'm here by myself.

And if something happens to me, you know, who's going to know like my mom might
