| 0:26.6 | having a warm-up routine for your meditation practice, especially if sitting still or meditating in general, brings up difficult emotions. |

| 1:26.8 | severe depression the meditation can sometimes make things worse because we're coming more intimately into our |
| 1:36.6 | experience and it can just be hard to create enough distance to be able to |
| 1:40.3 | observe it and we end up getting sucked into it in an unhelpful way. |
| 1:45.4 | So during those periods of time it's okay to just let the practice go entirely or find other |
| 1:52.2 | ways to practice like a walking method. entirely or |
| 1:55.0 | anything that just helps you feel better and |
| 2:01.0 | and ground it just helps you feel better and grounded. |
| 2:02.0 | But if you're in a place where you want to engage in a |
| 2:05.4 | meditation even though it's difficult, then one thing that can be helpful in |
| 2:09.6 | preparing for the meditation is to give yourself a warm-up routine. So what can this look like? |
