The shadow archetypes, one of the reasons why they live in our unconscious is because we don't usually identify with them. The assumption is it's dark and wrong. We usually go, huh, that was weird or that's not usually me. And we go, where did that come from? But we don't spend a lot of time sitting with it. The shadow archetypes aren't just there to mess with us. They'll take the gloves off. They'll fight dirty. There are parts of

ourselves that are there to protect us when the outside world is not treating us well. Why do we

have to have these archetypes live inside of us? And the answer is because things aren't always fair.

She went into asking about the trickster archetype that we carry in us.

And in personality theory or personality understanding, this is our seventh cognitive function

in our personality.

It lives in our shadow.

So it's a little bit more advanced personality material. We don't often talk about the shadow as much because it's a little deeper. And you have to kind of know what you're doing when you talk about the shadow. There's like a lot of elements here. But we have these archetypes that run inside of us. And Rebecca asked this question about the trickster. I thought was a really good question. Yeah. Well, and it's good to remember that any time you're talking about the shadow, so Jung's shadow, which is effectively, like the easiest way to understand it is, it's anything that we are not aware of about ourselves. Yes. So anything that lives in the unconscious. Good and bad. Yeah, or neutral or whatever. Like, it's just material that, um, it's, it's usually unprocessed material. It's, you know, it's like, it's stuff that we're not really that aware of for whatever reason. I used to think it was all the sinful parts of me or the bad parts of me or the unpure, badly motivated parts of me. Right. But that's not actually what the shadow means.
