I don't even know what word to use, recovery, resurgent, real estate boom that many of you

have ever experienced in your real estate careers or ever will experience in your real estate

career, maybe excluding probably what happened during COVID when there were six and a half million

home sales, but something akin to an absolute real estate boom. That's right. So the magic number

is five and a half percent. Why is that? Well, according to the John Burns Research and Consulting,

known as Jay Breck, 71 percent of homeowners who plan to purchase their next home with a mortgage

won't accept a rate above 5.5%.

This is a critical number for agents to watch because it represents a fundamental threshold that influences

homeowner behavior.
