Hello everyone and welcome to Talk Nurdy. Today is Monday, September 4th,

2023 and I'm the host of the show Kara Santa Maria and for my American listeners happy labor day and I apologize if this doesn't go up right on time I'm not sure I can't see the future but the editor may be

getting it up a day late because of the holiday so we shall see. I also am only days

away hopefully fingers crossed of the PhD being granted you guys have stuck with me through this entire process. I've

finished everything I need to finish. I have filed my dissertation. I defended it

of course and got everything approved, filed it end and now it and I've done all my

internship just a few days ago so everything's done on my end and now it and I've done

all my paperwork so now it's literally just admin.

It's like waiting for everything to be processed,

because of course that's how the world works.

So you can't technically call me doctor yet,

but hopefully by the next episode that will be the case.

I've got a great episode for you today, but before we dive into it, I do want to thank those of you

who make Talk Nurdy possible.

Remember the show is and will always be as long as I'm

able to do it a hundred percent free to download but of course it's not cheap to run

because I pay an editor and I also pay my incredible assistant Noel to gosh to do

everything to book the episodes to organize everything procure the books to

do all of the coding and stuff on the back end and

make sure that everything's pushed live, that the social media is managed, it's a lot of

work and I would not be able to do it because I've been working full time.

Obviously as a psychotherapist doing my internship to finish my PhD in clinical psychology.
