Summary

Is Jesus the only way to eternal life, or will following any religion do? Or what about just simply being good or sincere enough? As we study Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane before going to the cross in Mark 14:34-42, we think through the fallacies of multiple paths, learn that there is absolute truth, and see why Jesus proves Himself to be the only way.

My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death.

1:18.7

in the world's history. And we're going to dive into more the primary purpose of what everything's

1:25.2

Jesus talking about. I think on Wednesday night, we're going to look

1:27.7

at the primary purpose, but there's a little bit of a secondary purpose that I'd like to raise

today that oftentimes you may not think about in context of this particular passage. So I'm going to

1:38.9

talk about this in a little different light. And then we'll look at it more in its primary purpose on

1:45.6

Wednesday. But, and we're going to kind of dive into this question that people tend to debate

1:52.4

today. And it's become kind of a mean-spirited debate. And I think sometimes we as Christians

1:57.4

do a good job misrepresenting the heart of the Lord, even though the Lord gives

2:05.5

us very clear directives in his word.

2:08.2

And so that's kind of one of the things we want to talk about.

2:10.7

And we're going to basically focus in on this question.
