Well, we continue our verse by verse study through the Gospel of Mark.

We're in Mark chapter 14, so if you'd turn there with me.

We left off last week, Jesus finishing up the Olivet discourse, the abbreviated version from

the Gospel of Mark, but it was powerful.

Even though it's small, it's mighty.

Compared to Matthew's Olivet Discord account, it is quite minimal, but Mark brings it home

in a really kind of a cool perspective.

So I'm so thankful for this section.

But now, after the Olivet discourse, we start to focus as Jesus makes his way in the direction

of the cross.

And this part of Mark is where it gets into the holy discussion of all what was happening

here.

You know, this is what Jesus has been focused on.

Before heading to the cross,

it's interesting that Jesus' last big sermon was

about the end of the world, the last days.

You know, even though people de-emphasize that

in modern-day churches today,

Jesus emphasized that before

he went to the cross. I think that's important to recognize. But in the last days of Jesus,

there's a great spectrum by this time of people in the way they viewed Jesus. There were people

that loved him. There were people that hated hated him and there was a bunch of people
