I do think it's important to celebrate each other for anniversaries.

It doesn't necessarily have to be gifts.

As long as you're acknowledging it.

Yeah, right?

Yeah.

So we were talking about this yesterday because Mikey was letting us know that he had been had

because he and his girlfriend just celebrated their two-year anniversary.

And they had a quote-unquote agreement that they

weren't going to exchange gifts and lo and behold the day before the anniversary she bestows upon

him he said a bucket full of gifts right and it got me thinking and I'm like I don't think my husband

and I have ever physically exchanged a gift for an anniversary. And like from a math standpoint,

we dated for 10 years. We were engaged for one year. We've been married for seven. So this year

marks 19 anniversaries that we will have had. And I texted them and I was like, hey, have we ever exchanged gifts for, did we ever?

Because at my mind, I don't think so.

But again, I'm on meds and I'm missing chunks of my brain.

It literally erases certain things, which is fine.

But there's also things I'm like, I wish I would remember that.

And sure enough, he's like, no, we have literally never exchanged a gift for an anniversary. Now, cards,

we have done cards, we've done dinners. That's it. Let me run this case for your bank account.

For the whole that money you save? And also like the mental load and having to like come up with the gift or whatever.

And he and I, I will never forget our first wedding anniversary.
