Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm so thankful that you

with me are you ready to get your mind in line for the truth of God. I recognize

you may still be on Christmas break, and if so, I pray you have a great time

with family and that you rest and that you get yourself ready for whatever normal looks like

for you.

I recognize also that there's many who really are not

in normal right now. I'm not in a normal situation. I'm with family and so my work and

my recording of these episodes and things like that are kind of off kilter a little bit.

But nevertheless, we can press ahead in faith that God has what we need for this day.

I wonder have you ever heard the phrase God doesn't close a door without

opening a window. I kind of juggle at the phrase because it's one of those little maxims

that people turn to to give themselves peace and comfort when I believe we should be turning to scripture instead because that statement is not in scripture anywhere the concept is more like what we've gone through in Romans chapter 8 verse 28 that God works all things together for the good of those who love him.

And today in Romans chapter 11, we're going to be looking at something very similar and this has to do with the fate of the people of Israel

because everything that we've read so far that Paul's been saying about Israel

could make it sound like God is just

completely done with Israel but he's not. Paul's about to give us some insight

into what might lie ahead for Israel and he says in verse number 11 of chapter 11, so I ask, did they, meaning Israel, stumble in order

that they might fall? By no means, rather through their trespass, has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel

jealous.

Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the world and if their failure means riches for the

Gentiles how much more where will their full inclusion mean you see Paul is

tipping his hand here a little bit it's giving some foreshadowing that it's not over for Israel.
