I'm Hello and welcome to Sotriology 101.

I appreciate Caleb helping to put together some cool intros for us,

and we're going to be using some of those.

I appreciate all his hard work,

and I think they really look cool. So y'all give a shout out to Caleb for his good hard work

and making us look better. Today we're going to be talking about faith and how what we think

the Calvinists have done, generally speaking, is that they have equated faith with a good deed.

In other words, the good and the bad that we do in this world, the morality, if you will,

that's relative, obviously. Everybody lives at a different level of morality. Some people do

better, morally speaking, than others. You've got people in heaven

and people in hell at different respects to their morality. For example, you've got King David,

who we would presume, obviously, is in heaven, but yet he was a murderer and an adulterer. He did

really immoral things in his life. There are other people who will be in heaven

who never committed any murders or adultery. There are going to be people in hell who never

committed any murders or adultery at the same level that maybe David did. In other words,

you're not going to heaven or to hell based upon the morality of your life, the good and the bad deeds that you ended up doing in your life,

because you're not saved based upon the good or bad deeds or morality.

You're saved on the basis of faith in Christ Jesus.

The reason that we have appealed so often to the parable of the wedding banquet is that it really

does illustrate this for us. Now, some people may accuse Jesus of using parables instead of

exegesis of the Old Testament. Some people don't like when people use parables and analogies

to explain heavenly things.
