People are comparing the makeup for Bradley Cooper's latest role to blackface. So Bradley

is playing a Jewish character in an upcoming film called Maestro. And it's about composer

Leonard Bernstein, which if you're like, who's Leonard Bernstein? He's a composer who

is probably best known for his work on West Side Story. So photos of Bradley in this

movie have come out. And the thing that's catching people's eye is this prosthetic nose

that he has on his face. It's a lot longer. It's a lot broader. And because Leonard

Bernstein has a very distinctive looking nose, it does make him look a lot more like the

character. But a lot of people are labeling this Jew face, basically saying Bradley, who's

not Jewish, was made to look more Jewish with this kind of makeup. And critics are specifically

upset about this because there's obviously a very long and ugly history of anti-Semitics,

characterizing Jewish people by portraying them with very large noses. But there's also

the other side of like Leonard Bernstein's family. They're coming out and have actually

signed off on this saying, you know, it happens to be true that that he had a nice large nose.

Bradley chose to use makeup to amplify his resemblance. And they say they're perfectly

fine with that. And they also say that they think their father would have been fine with

it as well. So I have Jewish blood running, coursing through my veins. I have called myself

Jew-ish because I don't have a lot of formal background or history in it. So while I am Jewish,

I told you guys before I've always identified because of the way I grew up more as a Christian

than Jewish. So I'm very nervous to give an opinion on this. That might be offensive to my
