Welcome to Ok Computer. I'm Dan Nathan, joined by CNBC's TechJEC host. Dear Jibosa, Debo, welcome back to the pod.

0:07.7

Hello, happy long weekend Tuesday. I know. Can we just talk about this? I don't know whether we should just always have long weekends or just shorter work weeks, however you want to identify it, but I'm all for it. Either way.

0:18.0

I have a theory, this long weekend is like the most appreciated of the

0:21.0

year because it comes so soon after the holidays that it's a good way to ease back into and ease

0:26.0

into a new year. I love Jan and Feb. We have two really nice three-day weekends in there. We got a lot

0:31.8

to cover here because we are literally on the doorstep of Q4 earnings season. We haven't had any big

0:37.3

pre-announcements. I know a lot of folks

0:38.8

0:55.9

lot of puts and takes from that out of the gate this week. We have AMD raging up 8%

1:02.6

Nvidia up 13% on the year in a straight line D. So we're going to talk a little bit about kind of

1:08.0

this notion of going back to the things that got us here, right?

1:11.2

So we've had some volatility.

1:12.6

The NASDAQ's basically unchanged.

1:14.3

We also have some big tech companies laying folks off again.

1:17.6

So a lot going on.

1:19.3

How are you thinking about the volatility that we've had year to date or so?

1:23.0

And now, again, out of the gate this short week, we have an analyst kicking off AMD going a price

1:29.2

target from 120 to 200, talking about how well positioned they are in generative AI chips.

1:35.8

Well, Nvidia clearly has the lead, and we all get that.

1:38.3

They're expecting a big catch-up to see a stock up 8% like this off of an analyst upgrade to numbers and price tax, it's eye popping a little bit.
