Summary

In this episode of Dylan and Wes Interview, we dive deep into the future of coding, AI, and the massive opportunity for non-programmers to lead the next tech wave. Mariya from Python Simplified shares why you don’t need to know how to code to build amazing things with AI—and how emotional intelligence, relentless self-improvement, and a little rebellion against the academic system can lead to a new kind of creator. We talk robotics, open-source ideals, personal AI agents, and the psychology of building in the age of LLMs.

You can basically make a video game without knowing anything about any programming language.

Enterprise companies really want you to learn AI and not prompt engineering.

0:09.0

People are mostly invested in learning prompt engineering and not how it works in the background.

0:18.0

The whole revolution of AI is not about software developers embracing it.

0:23.6

It's about people who already have a trade.

0:26.6

Embracing it, if anybody has any kind of interest in robotics,

this is the best time to start learning and diving into it.

I know one thing, and it's that the future is bright. Hi, everyone. My name is

0:38.5

Maria. I have a YouTube channel called Python Simplified, where I teach artificial intelligence

and computer science concepts. It's great for beginners. I tend to take very complex topics

0:48.9

and break them down in a language that most people can understand. You don't need to be a mad

0:53.2

scientist to get it.

0:54.9

And yeah, that's pretty much what I do. Let's just talk about coding. What does coding mean now that

AI and large language models are making their appearance? Like, how do you see the whole thing? Is it a

1:05.2

useful skill? Is it becoming more useful, less useful? How do you see that whole thing?

1:10.1

So coding itself is a very small subset of being a software developer. For example, I learned coding when I was 12.

1:16.6

Would I hire myself to a significant position at any company? Probably not. So it requires experience and knowledge beyond the ability to write code.

1:26.6

So when you write code is basically a language that you can talk to a computer.

1:30.3

And now AI is really good at it, because obviously AI is the computer.

1:33.3

But beyond that language, you need to tell it what to do.

1:36.3

You need to understand the concept of functions, control flow.

1:40.3

You need to combine one software with another, with different versions. And it's a whole
