It is Monday, December 15th. This is Irish Illustrated Insider. I'm Tim O'Malley, joined today by Tim Priester of Irish Illustrated, Pete Sampson of the athletic, John Bryce of Football Scoop. We are two days removed from the Heisman trophy voting. I had my first ever vote and did cast it for Jeremiah Love. Only 45 people nationally agreed with me out of 900 plus.

Most went for Fernando Mendoza, 643 first place votes, and then Diego Pavia finishing second

well ahead of love. Guys just want to get your impression of first how not to act when you don't

win and also how to act when you do win because both were on display

over the weekend neither one involved who i believe the best player in the country is jeremiah love

but i did not think he would win it and i'll get into reasons for that later yeah i i was kind of

anticipating he would finish third because you know mendoza and pavia would would likely get the majority

of the number one votes and that's how it that's how it worked

out but what a great event i thought the presentation was was really good i thought jerm i love

represented himself in the school really really really well marcus freeman making it sound like

j love might choose to come back.

I think you were just teasing.

I think he was.

I just didn't expect him to tease to that magnitude.

He did that in another media appearance, I think, in the last week.

Yeah, I think it, I don't want to compare Marcus Freeman to Brian Kelly, but, you know, sometimes head coaches make jokes that just don't land.

That one didn't land.

Yeah.

Of people at that point. But, yeah, it was, I don't know the last time I actually watched the Heisman ceremony.
