There is an energy emergency, if we're not careful, when it comes to price.

And there's definitely an energy emergency when it comes to having a resilient grid,

whether it's a pipeline grid, an electric grid,

and that's something I think people have to take seriously.

And I think you're seeing some pretty interesting conversions

on the road to Damascus on that front.

It's been almost six months since our last episode of this podcast, and a lot has happened in that time.

Since President Donald Trump returned to office in January, there have been major shifts in

energy policy. Trade tensions are shaking up oil and gas exports, and the rise of

AI is putting new pressure on the power grid. These changes, along with others happening around the

world, are reshaping markets, investments, and innovation in big ways. Meanwhile, the growing

push for clean energy is facing both new hurdles and opportunities,

as governments balance economic pressures with climate commitments.

Today, I'm sitting down with Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel, along with Arjun Merti.

Arjun's a partner at Veritan, a research investing in strategy firm that focuses on the outlook of

the energy industry.

He has more than 30 years experience in the global energy sector as a Wall Street analyst,

and he's the founder of SuperSpite, a newsletter and podcast about the energy transition.
