One of the great things about having a podcast is that we can talk about politics, we can talk about Iran, we can talk about national security, and sometimes we can talk about just wonderful literary things in the art world.

And I'm very, very happy to have Virginia Hume with us.

She's the author of her second book, Liberty Island, which is the second book after her first

bestseller called Haven Point, which I loved. And I'm thrilled to have her with us today.

Oh, it's my pleasure. It's my pleasure. I've been following everything on Instagram related to your new

book. And I'm almost done. I want to be honest that I'm almost done,

and I'm enjoying it so much. I'm savoring it. I'm going to finish it on a plane trip tomorrow,

so I'm excited to finish it. So I won't be guilty of giving away the ending since I'm getting

there myself. But I just want to kind of set up that this book, Liberty Island, is really, it's about a family story.

It's a New England story, similar to Haven Point in that regard.

It goes across generations.
