Summary

This week's episode is part two of my conversation with artist Kimmy Quillin. In this second half of our nearly-three-hour Zoom conversation, we talk more about her process—how she creates conditions for creativity, incorporating chance in her work, and what she calls intentional chaos. We end the episode with questions I gathered from a bunch of our mutual friends to ask her.

Because if you aren't showing up 100% to other people, then you're asking for some of their

going to be hearing a conversation chopped into this is the second half of my talk with kemmy quillen

1:45.3

I was here in L.A.

1:46.7

And as I always say, when I rarely split these up into two parts, part two is when this

1:54.7

conversation really comes alive.

1:57.5

Act two of this show is when things get a little bit more loose, were a little bit

2:02.6

loopy from talking so much. And I rarely split it up and they're just long. However, this

2:11.0

conversation was robust enough with content in both parts that I did. Like I said, if you didn't listen last week,

2:19.6

you might want to go back for a little bit of context and callbacks, but you could actually

2:24.1

probably start now and then listen to that part second if you really wanted to. But if you did

2:29.1

listen, you already know that Kimmy is a painter whose work can be seen on the walls of Good Move in Brooklyn,
