There's no one that's immune to this. And any person, even a person with no substance

used ever in their family and no mental health problems and every resource available could

suffer from addiction. That's Dr. Abigail Heron. She's a psychiatrist who works with addiction

patients at the Institute of Family Health in Manhattan. Today I'm speaking with Dr.

Heron and Susan Salomon, a family advocate who lost one of her sons to the opioid crisis.

On the show today, we talked about the things that are misunderstood about opioids and the

toll it's taking on America. It's a tough conversation, but a really important one.
