This is a series of CBSi and the world. I'm John Bachelor with Indiana Hone Line, the bag of tricks, the dust, the bullwhip, the chapeau, and we go to Ashkalon in Israel, 1,700 years ago. What have you discovered, Indiana?

So we discovered something that has not yet been revealed to the public but will with the upcoming high holidays and holiday period in Israel when tourists will be able and visitors will be able to go to Ashgalon where a site that had been

discovered actually in the 30s initially about 300 meters from the beach they found a

sand filled vaulted tomb the structure was excavated and dated to the fourth century by British

archaeologists and it was the early fourth century sea and it has a whole and four

adjacent burial troughs, the passageways decorated with a range of paintings and this is really amazing to see the quality and the skill and the depictions that of the meter, the Greek the

quality and the skill and the depictions that of Demeter, the Greek mythological goddess of the earth and grain.

Others are plants, nymphs, vines, grapes, all sorts of animals,

beautifully displayed.

I mean, considering 1,700-year-olds,

very rarely found in Israel,

and rarely found even in the region.

And the work was underwritten by the Ashgalon municipality together with the federal government

turning it into with public gardens with the tom, and one can get a glimpse into that period, and especially

the Medusa the Gorgon's head and monstrous female face,

very much depicting Greek mythology.

Again, something rarely founded.

And another wanted to tune was later in the public garden and was relocated to this location.

So it's really done in a very concise period and a place.

The ancient wall paintings are usually not preserved because of the humid climate, but these were relatively

closed structures, as I said, and the natural exposure to paint to air and moisture causes fading and weathering but this was very limited

so people will actually be able to see it in its full beauty and glory.
