Hey church family, it's Grant, so excited

to get to open God's word together today and I'm filming this on the fourth floor at

Cumberland kind of before our Sabbath break and I wish we were all together

today in some ways but also I'm so grateful for this opportunity we have to enjoy Sabbath rest together and to stop,

rest and remember all the ways God has worked in and among us through Passion City Church.

So I hope you already were able to watch

Pastor Ben's message last week. It was phenomenal. If not, I really want to

encourage you to go back and to watch it. And I'm also praying that this

devotional guide, this Sabbath in the Psalms, has been helpful to you as we've journeyed into these days together.

So I'm really grateful for the time we have collectively to stop and step into this Sabbath time together.

To be honest, I lived a lot of my life without really understanding what Sabbath was or why it was important.

Grew up maybe in or around the church

is maybe the best way to say it,

but I don't remember really talking about Sabbath a lot.

And to be honest, I'm not a very good Rester still to this day.

I don't know about you maybe you're a great

restor I hope you are it's difficult for me in in the world that we live in in maybe

some of the ways that I'm wired it takes effort for me to slow down, to stop, and to rest, and to remember.

And I can even remember early on in the days of Passion City when we would come to our Sabbath
