0:48.0	And it has been such a long day of covering the impeachment trial.
0:53.0	I've had a series of appearances that I'm not even going to make it out to my studio tonight.
0:58.0	Admittedly, it's only about a seven minute commute out to historic downtown Leesburg.
1:04.0	But I'm not up for the commute.
1:07.0	So I just want to do a quick recap from home of today's impeachment trial.
1:14.0	Always have to have the air quotes around the word trial.
1:18.0	Because what we saw is the farthest thing from a trial.
1:24.0	It is a uniquely and exclusively political proceeding.
1:29.0	And I've begun calling it the impeachment confirmation hearing.
1:34.0	Because all we're really trying to do is see whether enough Republicans will confirm
1:41.0	that Donald Trump should be held accountable for inciting an insurrection.
1:47.0	And given the way things played out today, I'm not feeling confident that they will hold him accountable.
