As The Washington Post and other news outlets are reporting, President Biden will be asking for the resignation of all Trump-appointed US Attorneys, with two exceptions. As a career federal prosecutor serving under every president from Reagan through Trump, I can attest to the fact that it is entirely usual for each new incoming presidential administration to ask current US Attorneys to resign so the new president can appoint US Attorneys who share and will implement his law enforcement priorities. This video explains that process. However, President Biden did something remarkable, he pledged to leave in place two current US Attorneys to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. 0:44.6	the radar yesterday with all the hullabaloo surrounding the impeachment hearings. Is
0:51.2	hullabaloo still a thing? The story has to do with how President Biden has decided to
0:58.9	deal with all of the Trump installed US attorneys, and it is such a good story. First, let's
1:07.8	turn to some of the headlines. This from NBC News, Biden's Justice Department to ask nearly
1:16.0	all Trump era US attorneys to resign. Okay, that's a good headline, but what caught my attention
1:25.7	is the nearly all part, because it's entirely usual for an incoming president and incoming
1:34.2	administration to ask for the resignations of all US attorneys because they serve at
1:40.3	the pleasure of the president. They are what we call at will appointees. So, it's not at
1:46.5	all unusual for President Biden to ask all US attorneys to submit their resignations.
1:53.6	Just administrations, both Republican and Democrat, do that, but the nearly all part caught my
2:00.0	attention. So, here's how the Washington Post reported out the same story. Biden administration
2:07.0	will ask remaining Trump appointed US attorneys to step down with few exceptions. Here's what
2:16.0	the Washington Post said about that. The Biden administration is expected to ask remaining
2:23.4	US attorneys appointed by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate to begin stepping
2:29.6	down, though the Trump appointed federal prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden, President Biden's
2:36.7	son, as well as the prosecutor reviewing the FBI's 2016 investigation of the Trump campaign,
2:45.8	will be allowed to continue their work, a Justice Department official said. Folks, why is this
