Well, I'm very pleased again to have Mr. Tom Holman. The Borders are joining me today.

And I want to share a few things about Tom before we get started that you may not know.

Tom is anything but a bureaucrat. He is one of those people

that has done the jobs that he's now in charge of. He has not, he's one of those people that

doesn't ask anybody that he's now responsible for to do

anything that he hasn't done. He's done these jobs. He's been on the street. He's interacted

with immigrants that have come across the border legally, illegally. He's dealt with the criminals.

He's been in the jobs that are now so closely scrutinized by many in America and getting criticized by many in America.

He's watched this change generation after generation.

And now he's the one that everyone looks to that wears that badge and wears that uniform.

And he's the one responsible for the highest number of recruits, highest number of applications.

And I think the best morale that we have seen among ICE and Border Patrol,

certainly since I've been aware of that agency.

I'm always anxious to talk to you to catch up with what's going on,

and I've got some very specific questions this time.

I know that you've just had a visit on Bill Maher's real time, and after speaking with him and an awful lot of the other media, I'm curious,

what do you think the biggest misunderstanding is of ICE with people in America right now that

are critical of ICE? I know that I think most people in America are very supportive of ICE and of Border Patrol. But I want to

hear from your own, I want to hear your own thoughts about what you think the biggest misunderstanding

is about ICE agents and Border Patrol and the fight against the illegal immigration.
