As you address in your book, can I say that

why free speech matters and how to use it fearlessly? It really is a decision point. People actually

have to decide, am I going to give my power away to other people and let them decide whether or not I claim my space and speak up,

or am I going to let them intimidate me and put me to the side? What caused you to write this

book? Why this book? Why now? What happened is I was living in New York

City. As we all know, it's not easy to make it there, but I was doing it. So I had, you know,

gone through Columbia University where I had done a lot of what we call self-censoring in order to

get through and get the grades I needed in order to get into

the clinical psych program I wanted, which, you know, I did a lot of self-censoring there as well.

And as I was trying to build my business, I was very thankful. I was getting a lot of media

attention, which was great for the business. But I just always knew that there were certain things I

couldn't say. I never said anything that was untrue, but I just avoided certain topics that I knew

wouldn't work for the media. And that worked fine until COVID when, you know, the law then was that

I was going to have to mask my then three-year-old son.

And that was really the red line for me.

I just couldn't do it.
