Lorenzo Fiore in Milan helped me understand a wonderful new story, but it needs interpretation.

Olalai, Sardinia.

Over the years, Lorenzo has introduced me to Sardinia as a place that I must visit

because it's beautiful and it's not much crowded, especially the parts of the coast that are dominated by Roman ruins.

But we're going to the central part of Sardinia, rolling mountains and hills.

Olalai is the name of the village.

It's large.

It's not small, but they're ready to sell Americans a house to fix up for one euro.

I remember this story comes from all over Italy.

Everybody ready to encourage

Americans to come and live in Italy if they'll fix up the house. But Ololai is on your island

that you find special. What's special about Sardinia? Why is this a magnificent place in your

Well, I can tell you that Sardinia is really beautiful.

I know pretty well Sardinia.

I've spent many vacation there during the summer time,

but also visited Sardinia during the other months of the year
