| 0:41.1 | Now what is a hunger wave? |
| 0:42.3 | Well, it's a wave of hunger that if you ignore it, it will go away. |
| 0:47.6 | What's causing the hunger is a hormone, and it's called grelin, okay? |
| 0:53.0 | One is the hunger hormone, and it sends signals to the brain telling you it's time to eat. |
| 0:59.9 | And let's say, for example, it's lunchtime, and you're getting hungry, and you just ignore |
| 1:05.1 | it, you get busy, whatever. |
| 1:06.9 | Within two hours, you're going to find it's gone. |
| 1:10.2 | You're not hungry anymore, okay? |
| 1:13.0 | Then at dinner time, it might come up again. |
| 1:16.0 | If you ignore it, push through it, it goes away. |
| 1:19.1 | So over time, when you fast, you have these waves of grelin up and down, up and down. |
| 1:25.2 | But over time, they go further and further downward to the point where it becomes easier and easier |
| 1:32.1 | to fast where you don't have that sensation of hunger anymore. |
| 1:36.4 | So you have two things. |
| 1:37.6 | You have one is the sensation of hunger. |
