0:13.8

As a child, I learned a song in primary that started with,

0:17.8

If the Savior stood beside me.

0:24.0

I loved this song. It made me think about what I would do and say all of the time if Jesus was right next to me. As I've grown, this concept has taken on

0:30.4

a different meaning for me. I have felt fear, weakness, and dismay. My Savior isn't just watching me, hoping that I will say and do nice things.

0:42.6

He is here with me, in my weakness, in my fears, and in my dismay.

0:50.0

And in fact, in Joshua, chapter 1, verse 9, we read,

0:53.8

be strong and of a good courage. Be not afraid.

0:58.8

Neither be thou dismayed. For the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

1:06.9

The Lord is standing beside me and cheering me on. He is comforting, guiding, and loving me.

1:14.9

And because his spirit can be with me whenever I desire and make the effort, there is no need to feel fear and dismay.

1:23.3

I can be strong and have the courage to conquer whatever comes my way.

1:29.2

So the takeaway of the day, in five words or less, he is with you.

1:35.6

Thank you so much for being here today and for coming close to Christ with me, one minute at a time.

1:43.4

1:48.5

But then they also arrive in the land of Canaan and start to establish their land and there's kings and there's judges and all sorts of drama.

1:56.1

I would love to help walk you through all of this.
