What does failure look like for you?

Because you try and you create and you put out so much stuff.

How have you got to a place where you still trust, even in the face of stuff that hasn't worked out?

I look back in my life and I've redefined that.

Like, I don't see any failure because everything that I've gone through was perfect for where I was going.

Every door that was closed, every time the show didn't work out,

nobody showed up, all of that was preparing me for this moment. And what I tell people about a

closed door for me in my life, a closed door was like the, when that door closed, it was like

the wall of a maze coming in, which meant go another way and figure it out.

And all of that for me has brought me to this placement. I can't even begin to take it all in

sometimes because it's all been so incredible. How have you clung to Jesus throughout all this?

My mother would, this is the thing I tell parents that if my mother wouldn't have

took church and taught me about God and taught me about faith, if I wouldn't have seen

her up there smiling when I know the hell we just went through the house on Friday and

Saturday night seeing her in the choir Sunday morning singing, praising God.

If I hadn't seen that, I wouldn't know how to deal in

trouble. But because she prayed her way through, because she taught me to pray, because she

taught me, took me to church all the time, that childhood thing, when the Bible says, you know,

when they're old, they won't depart. Listen, it's in me. Maxine.
