I was at the beach yesterday and this thought came to me and I thought gosh I've got to do a pot about this because

it seems like it's kind of counterintuitive, yet to me is real, to me this is the truth,

to me this is my honest experience. I was lying down thinking looking at the water and I was

recalling in my mind some things that I used to think, right? So the way that I used to view the world,

the way that I used to think about certain things, certain people, certain experiences,

and I realize just how much I've changed over the years.

Change is natural, my friends.

This is what life does for us. But I used to have points of view about this is where I vacation.

Oh, I used to think I only wear Ray-Ban sunglasses.

That used to be something that I thought. I also used to have very fixed views on the perfect way to spend a weekend. It was like New York City brunch, Bopper and meet friends,

head to different events in the evening, whatever was being held,

and then Sunday chill at home on the sofa.

I'm like, that's a perfect weekend,

I don't want to veer from it.

And it brought this element of like inflexibility into my life.

Because when you're very certain and clear and sure about this is who I am, it's how I do things, it feels so fixed, you don't allow a lot of space for magic.

It's almost as if we live these kind of smaller lives somehow and we're very tied to certain identities about who we are, the type of stuff that we wear, what we like to eat, what defines a great year, what defines a great life, whatever it is that feels

fixed to you about you. And then I realize that probably the biggest growth that I've experienced as I observe these shifts of various versions of ourselves over time, various versions of myself over time, I think to myself, the more rooted I am in who I truly
