You know, when I read through the background on your very wide-ranging career in the military and in the private sector,

that you did at 9-11 with World War II heroes. And now I even think about the surfside, Florida

situation, which so sadly has turned into a DNA identification situation as well. One of the things that really crosses my mind right away is what got you interested in this

Getting into DNA testing, especially forensic DNA testing, was not something I planned in my career.

I was a graduate student in the University of Oklahoma in 1990 when my wife and I found out

we were expecting twins.

As a graduate student at that time, we had no medical coverage,

but the Federal Aviation Administration's national headquarters is in Oklahoma City,

which is adjacent to University of Oklahoma.
