We start this morning with new data on the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

Numbers from the Data Deportation Project, that's a research group associated with UC Berkeley Law School,

show that of the roughly 220,000 people detained

by ICE in the nine months since Trump took office, nearly 75,000 do not have criminal records.

This comes as ICE activity has escalated in Democratic-led cities such as New Orleans and

the Twin Cities, and Trump administration officials have repeatedly claimed this crackdown is to arrest criminals.

Just listen to what Trump administration borders saw Tom Homan told CNN yesterday about

the raids in Minnesota.

We're going to focus on those illegal, alien, public safety threats in these cities.

And they know if they weren't a sanctuary city,

I mean, many people would be apprehended in safety and security to county jail.
