I'm glad to have you with us here today along with Trevor Trowbridge. I am Sean Stiers. It's a beautiful day outside once again. And we're getting ever so closer to Notre Dame and USC. Trevor, you know, like we talk about this game as a rivalry, obviously, and it's been played for, you know, going on 100 years at this point.

Like, when it comes to Notre Dame, like, does this get your juices flowing as much as any, you know, like maybe with the exception of just the season opener because

we've been waiting so long, like, how fired up does Notre Dame USC get you? Oh, I get

absolutely juiced, man. I mean, absolutely juiced. Look, Notre Dame has very, very few rivalries

anymore where it's just that traditional, they don't like us, we don't like them, type of games.

And as cool as all the tradition is at Notre Dame, I don't want every single rival to be,

hey, let's shake hands after the game and sing each other's al-a-mabom.

There is a facet of like, I just like-

Some would prefer it if you never sung each other's alma mater, right?

Hey, that's just me, you know, but I do enjoy the facet.

Like, because think about some of the best rivalries in college football.

People talk about the game, Michigan, Ohio State, you know, at the Iron Bowl,

Alabama, Auburn.

You got the Red River shootout that we just watched.

They're not singing each other's alma maters at the end of the game.

No, no.

A rivalry to me means more than just you played a lot.

There's something to it.

The fan bases are into it.

With all due respect to some of Notre Dame's previous rivals, I mean, not that I, I don't know if I've ever met a Boston college football fan, but like I know some people say that it's a big rivalry, but I guess I'll find out I'm going out to cover the game in November, so I'll get to meet a lot of Irish Catholics out there in Boston. You know, I think that that has a lot to do with it and, you know, step child and the whole thing. But yeah, yeah. I was actually just, I saw something. I don't know
