And it will be Donald Trump's latest intervention with an announcement that the shipping lane that he has failed to reopen or failed to bomb or persuade or cajole Iran into reopening will now be closed but not by them by him.

Have I got that right? How do you respond to a refusal to open a channel by announcing in Donald Trump land that you will be closing the channel.

Which, of course, the biggest mockery made of anybody here is the people who insisted that the straight wasn't closed.
