Whatever you're facing tonight as a child of God, it's called a trial, a testing.

And no one thing, that God is in full control of your life.

You're a son, you're a daughter of God.

He's not on a long way off in the planet not caring about you or me.

He knows everything about me and what I'm facing tonight and what I'm going through.

That's how much God loves me and how much he loves you.

Roll will encourage us to remember that all of the hardships we face in this life are temporary,

but our hope in Christ is eternal.

When we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as pilgrims passing through

this world, he'll guide us through our trials to the final rest of our heavenly home.

Here Peter in expanding the source of our inheritance through Jesus Christ, It is what? According to his abundant mercy.

Notice what he's saying here. His mercy that has begotten you and me again unto what? A living hope.

The world has no hope today. But we have a great hope. Why? Because we know

that this world is not our home. We're going to be in heaven one day. I'm not looking forward

to the future here. I'm looking to the future to be with Christ. This is not my home.

That's where he says, we are strangers and pilgrims.

We're cruising only for a little while in this world.
