If the Holy Spirit is the true source of wisdom, then what role does the Bible have?

All right, so this is a great question, and it may, sometimes when you hear a question,

there's like kind of an assumption that's implied in the question, and the implication is that

the Holy Spirit is not using the Bible, right? Like it's either the Holy Spirit or it's the Bible,

and I think that that's where we want to stop and rethink that. So second Timothy 316,

it says, all scripture is inspired by God, literally the phrase in the Greek means God breathed,

right, and the breath of God, the Holy Spirit. So it's from the Holy Spirit, and profitable for

teaching, reproof, correction, training, and righteousness. So I, I mean, you know, God gave me the

Spirit, the Spirit gave me the Bible, like I'm not going to separate the work of the Spirit from

the scripture. The anybody who does who starts to set the Bible against the Spirit, the Holy Spirit

is preparing us to be led by our own hearts and not God's heart, because God will not contradict

Himself. That's it. The Bible is what I know God said. What I think the Spirit's telling me is

what I think God said. I think it's really smart to take what I think God said, and compare it to

what I know God said, to make sure that I'm not getting off base. So I think the role of scripture

is a test, a check, to confirm that what I'm getting is from the Spirit, because there's apparently

there's three sources of prophecy or inspiration in scripture. One is God,

one is Satan or demonic or whatever, you know, evil spirit sources, and the third is my own heart.

Now this always got me when I first noticed that it blew me away. In Jeremiah, the false

prophets of Jeremiah's time, God says that they were getting a divination and prophecy from their own

hearts, from their own minds. Now that doesn't mean they knew it was from their own minds. Like they

thought they were bringing the word of God to people, but it was coming from their own desires.

So they would say like, Oh, Jerusalem won't be destroyed. Nothing bad will happen to us. God will
