Here's the reality: It's really common that most people who lose weight will gain it back after losing it.
In this episode, I'm going to talk about the things you have to be aware of as you lose weight and what to do instead. When people lose weight and get to their desired goal, they stop doing whatever they did to lose that weight. But one thing you need to understand is that it's really important to continue to maintain those habits!

Hello and welcome to another episode of Lean with Plants. My name is Chelsea and if you have been

0:19.1

struggling to lose weight on a vegan diet you've been trying to ditch

0:23.6

the fat but you just don't know how to do that even when you're eating super healthy then this is

0:29.4

the podcast for you for so many years I was so frustrated and fed up that I couldn't lose the weight even on a healthy

0:40.1

vegan diet and even when I did lose the weight through extreme measures like trying to go fully

0:45.9

raw or eating 30 bananas a day or tons and tons of exercise I was never able to maintain my

0:54.0

weight loss. Now that I understand about calorie density I've been able to maintain my weight loss.

0:55.0

Now that I understand about calorie density, I've been able to lose 40 pounds and I'm

1:01.0

really able to maintain the leanest weight that I have in my entire dieting history, which

1:07.0

really does span over about 10 years.

1:10.0

So if you want to learn more about that,

1:12.4

please keep listening. All right. So today's episode, who, man, there's a lot to dive into.

1:19.9

And I know that the title is a little bit clickbaity. I gained weight and here's why. But the

1:26.9

truth is in the last, probably the last month,

1:31.1

I am seeing a higher number on the scales than what I normally see. And there's a few reasons

1:38.3

for that. And I want to talk about that today because it's actually really, really common to gain weight back after losing

1:46.9

it. I think 97% of people who lose weight will gain most of it, if not more, back. And the biggest

1:55.9

reason for this is that what they were doing, they didn't keep doing over time. If they lost weight doing keto,

2:03.7

if they lost it with portion control or excessive exercise or intermittent fasting, whatever it is,

2:09.5

they don't maintain those habits so they don't maintain the weight loss. So in this episode,

2:14.8

I'm going to be sharing a little bit about why that number is up, why I've gained a little bit of weight. And then I'm going to be sharing a little bit about why that number is up why i've gained a

2:18.5

little bit of weight and then i'm going to be talking about the three things that you can do to
