Summary

Doesn't get more raw and unfiltered than this week's episode! For anyone that's watched Victoria's journey from D1 athlete to TEDx speaker, body-image influencer, and now wife & business owner, this episode is the beginning of the next phase. Victoria's diving into what happens when you've healed the very things you built your brand on, how she's taking the next steps in her career, and what it's really like to evolve as a creator but more importantly, human. Plus, how she's learning to accept that she might not be relatable to everyone. This episode is all about keeping it real and being vulnerable, discussing the ups and downs of life and the importance of showing up authentically. Warning: we get into some heavy stuff, buckle up for this candid conversation!

Welcome to RealPod. It's your host Victoria Garrick and this is the podcast where we hold nothing back.

0:43.6

Oh, so we're getting deep, huh? I've really cried for 12 days straight. Why do I want to be perfect?

0:49.6

There's nothing in my life that is perfect. Every week I'll bring you honest, unfiltered and

0:54.6

eye-opening conversations to help uncover the real in all of us. I crave the type of content

1:00.0

that you're talking about. I actually felt insecure. Oh my god, am I going to cry? Let me just

1:04.3

unload everything. New episodes every Wednesday leave those filters at the door because it's time

1:11.4

to get real.

1:27.3

Hi everyone. Welcome back to RealPod. I wasn't planning on doing an intro for this episode because

1:33.2

it's a solo and usually I don't do an intro. But I have been nervous about putting this episode

1:40.2

out there just because it's very raw and I am literally speaking the way I would speak to my

1:48.9

absolute best friend. This episode could be a recording of a phone call from the middle of the

1:54.7

night where I call Max. I've had a week or so now to think about this and reflect on the recording

2:02.4

and also listen to it on the back end with my producer. I've been able to gather even more

2:08.0

thoughts on how I feel. I was feeling and I am feeling and I've gained a lot of clarity because

2:13.1

recording this and honestly working on the edit, it was cathartic for me. On a side note,

2:17.3

I highly recommend talking about how you feel into your voice memo and then listening back to it

2:23.0

because you can learn a lot from hearing yourself and hearing your thoughts and then you have more

2:26.9

thoughts and you can almost hear things you don't hear when you're saying it. If that makes sense,

2:31.1

that said, I just have a few quick things that I wanted to share before you listen

2:35.0

because of said clarity and I just want to make sure we're all on the same page. In editing this,

2:40.8

I was nervous that it might sound like mental health or volleyball or sports and body image are
