Okay, my friends, I recently watched the new romantic comedy, Marry Me.

And I thought it was just so cute and so funny and I kind of really like the original music.

Check it out for sure, if you're into that kind of thing if you're a

romcom kind of person. The movie itself was you know certainly fine but I paid

attention to something underlying that came up for me when I was watching it.

In the movie I noticed art imitating life, which happens a lot with different celebrities they're

different creative outlets over the years but in this movie specifically

and there are no spoilers here don't worry there are jokes in the movie about how often her character has been married.

And there's also a reference that's very clearly in the trailer about who the man she was going to marry, you know, cheated on her very publicly.

There's also references to how she's a woman who's defying age barriers in a very young person's field being the entertainment industry.

And I was like, wow, Jela was really going there with some truths with her history in this

movie and I applauded. And then something struck me as she's speaking to the Owen Wilson

character in the movie she said something about not being taken completely

seriously as an artist.

And I thought, well that's not quite right.

I mean, that's really not art imitating life because you know hello, right?

She is J-Low.

And then she proceeds to tell him something along the lines of, and I'm paraphrasing here, but, you know, she says,

I've never been nominated for anything.

And this took me down a bit of a J-Lo rabbit hole.
