Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep the fitness promise you made yourself, and we'll add another link to your growing fitness chain.

I'm out in the morning. Most of my walks happen in the morning. Every now and then, there's an afternoon walk, just to kind of change things up.

When the weather was colder, it was also a way to stay warmer.

It was like, okay, you know, if I don't head out pre-sunrise, instead wait for the sun

to actually be in the sky and warm things up, I will be warmer.

I love the morning air. I love the quiet of the mornings. I love watching a sunrise.

And so today's walk is actually happening a little bit later for me in the morning. Still early.

Ava's still asleep. So this would not be considered later for her, but for me it's a little bit later because I actually am watching the sunrise as I'm walking.

So I'm facing east. I'm actually walking backwards. There's an access road that's near the airport.

And on the other side of the airport is a line of trees. And just above the trees, I can see some of the hotels that are beachfront.

I'm here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And so I've got an access road that I am walking along as I'm talking to you.

And if I were walking forwards, I would be turned away from the sunrise.

And so at the moment, I just want to watch the sun come up, so I'm walking backwards.
