Today's 10-minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent.

As I'm walking, my pace is probably a normal pace for me, maybe a little bit slower than my fast pace when I'm recording the podcast and I'm thinking about what I'm going to say, I think I tend to walk just a little bit slower.

Oftentimes when I'm walking, usually alone, my pace is pretty intense.

I don't have a speedometer. I did time myself probably a year ago. We have a path around the lake in the

center of town, which is actually marked off. It's one mile. I thought, you know what? I want to see

how fast I go. I want to see how fast I can walk this mile. And I had to be intentional about,

I'm not trying to break any speed records. I'm not trying to set a personal record, I want to see what my normal pace is.

I want to see how fast I'm walking. It timed out at about four miles an hour, which is on the upper end of moderate.

So my pace tends to be a little bit faster, except when I'm recording, it slows

down just a bit, but one of the things that I've discovered lately that I really enjoy,

and I don't do this all the time, but I do it often enough. And that is I'll leave the house

Now, I don't know if someone watching me is going to say, oh, that's a really slow pace.

It might actually be a normal pace for most people.

It might even look fast. but for me it feels slow.

And there's something about every now and then taking a slow walk, where I'm intentional

Just slow down, enjoy the weather, enjoy what's happening around you, enjoy what's happening around you.
