Let's go for a walk.

I'm along an access road that's near the airport.

I can see the terminal.

Things are quiet at some point.

The first plane will fire its engines, head down the taxi down the runway, and take off for somewhere.

Might even happen while we are walking, but right now things are quiet.

One of the things that I'm looking for as I'm walking this morning along this road are snakes.

I'm not hypervigilant about it.

I'm just aware that we live in an area that has snakes.

We have seen snakes.

I have seen snakes.

Ava's had a couple of close encounters with snakes while out just the other day.

She was running.

She was on a trail beside a lake near our home and she saw a stick in the middle of the trail, jumped over the stick, the stick's head moved. She's like, oh, not a stick.

She stopped, pulled out her phone and took a picture and it was, we think it was a corn snake. There was one time

when Ava and I were out walking. This was a couple of years ago. This was in the fall. And we were

walking and a plane just landed. Or is that taking off? It's taking off. There we go. The first flight of the day. And it's taking off.

They have the runway pattern such that the passengers are probably now over the beach. They can

see the ocean and headed to wherever they're going.

I don't know if they're leaving vacation, going to visit family, off on business.

We were out walking.
