Today's 10-minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent.

0:07.5

Let's go for a walk. In fact, let's go for a walk and listen to the frogs.

0:13.2

I'm walking in an area that has, I think it's like a little pond, I can't go too far back here because I've had some rain and this area is again wet, but can you hear the frogs? I don't know how many there are. That's probably maybe 50 yards away. It's a pond swampy area back near where I'm walking this morning.

0:40.3

And I've done this before. I just think the sound of these frogs is pretty amazing.

0:46.3

And this is another morning where I can hear them and I just wanted you to enjoy the frogs as well.

0:52.3

Of course you might not enjoy frogs. You might be thinking, let's move on.

that there's no competition in walking. That that's a benefit.

1:46.0

There isn't this competitive spirit,

1:49.0

which I think, if I'm remembering correctly,

1:53.0

the post was actually comparing walking to running.

1:58.0

And with running, there is more competition. You're competing with others if you're

2:04.5

running in an event. Oftentimes you can be competing with yourself as you're training for an event or

2:13.2

running and your timing how fast you're going. And so competition can very much be part of running.

2:19.9

And probably, since I've done both, the competition is probably a little more intense in the

2:27.6

running world than it is among those who walk.

2:33.3

Most of us aren't competing with someone else when we're walking.

2:38.5

It's not a race. We're going out for our 10-minute walk or our 30-minute walk.
