Hey friends, you ready to take a 10-minute walk. Welcome to Walking is Fitness. This is a podcast where we walk together for 10 minutes. That's what I'm doing right now. I am doing my regular morning walk, which usually lasts about an hour or so. And I always connect with you for the first 10 minutes of that walk.

If you are looking for a podcast that will inspire you, motivate you, maybe even entertain you,

uh, this is really isn't it. This is a podcast of action as we walk together, holding each other

accountable for creating and maintaining a lifestyle of fitness. Hi, I'm Dave. Yesterday, a little

more than 17,000 steps. That's what I finished with on my Fitbit Inspire 2. And this morning, a little more than 17,000 steps. That's what I finished with on my Fitbit Inspire 2.

1:43.4

And I'll once again be able to brag to my friends and family who are stuck in cold, wintry Maryland about how tropical it is here in South Carolina. And I checked the history on my weather app and sure enough 42 degrees. That's normal.

That's normal for this time of year here in South Carolina. And we haven't even hit the

2:10.7

coldest part of, well, we're still in fall. I haven't even had winter yet. So I guess I'm going to have more chilly mornings than I had

2:21.2

anticipated. But nonetheless, I'm out, I'm walking, I'm appropriately and properly dressed,

2:29.2

and looking forward to our time together. So I got a question, got a question from a listener.

2:33.6

The question is,

2:34.4

how do you make the transition to healthy walking? And I love this question for a couple of reasons.

2:41.5
